Free movies with Jaman

***Update***

So I began using this last night - the first TV show I tried to load didn't work, and I came up with a 'couldn't play error' - not a good start eh! So I tried again - looking through the 240+ free videos I found quite a few that looked interesting - there are a lot of old movies, some TV shows and a few documentaries. There seem to be quite a few martial arts movies too!

After looking through the 240+ free movies I selected one and tried again. This time it worked. It took about 30 seconds to start streaming, but eventually it came up!

The video quality was generally very good, although there was a little jerkiness occasionally. The sound quality was OK.

Overall, as this is a free site (free to view the 240+ free movies), and I didn't have to give any personal information, then this site is good. It remains to be seen if the content will grow - I found there was quite a bit of content that isn't currently available in the US. I still have to use my 'free' movie yet - but haven't decided which movie to view....

Overall well worth the try....

***End of Update***

I don’t normally promote sites on this blog, as it really is intended as a personal opinions blog, however, I do feel it’s worth promoting this site as it is likely to become the prime media in which I download movies to the PC and to my media center….

Jaman is a new site (or to me it is at least) – it features literally thousands of movies and shows from around the world, perhaps catering more to the ‘independent’ movie maker than the big Hollywood blockbusters. The site states ‘Watch thousands of films instantly free online or download to rent’.

Additionally, you get one movie rental free when you join (which doesn’t require any credit card number, but only requires you to sign up for a free account with no obligation).

Searching through the catalog there do seem to be quite a few recent blockbuster movies on board, as well as a lot of very obscure offerings from around the world – it should be pointed out that there doesn’t seem to be any major checking of age, and as there are many R rated movies and shows on the site, you should be cautious when giving access to children.

I haven’t begun to use the site a lot yet, but it does seem very interesting and definitely worth a look.

For more information, or to join click here.

I'll update this 'review' as I use the site more (or not!).
